Fishing - Lorne Pier.
Sunday, September 26, 2004, 8:11 PM

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - once you squeeze through the gap between the boat and the crane it's almost as if you've stepped into a whole new world. The fisher-folk are like a little microcosm all of their own…there's a sense of familiarity & community amongst them, and even though I didn't see much fish catching actually going on it didn't seem to matter all that much.

Crane - Lorne Pier.
Sunday, September 26, 2004, 8:09 PM

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - perhaps I should have called this one Moon and Crane or something like that. I love the way the clouds appear as a result of the exposure time being for a few seconds or more. The moon has also had time to shift and become an indistinct light source.

Crane & Boat - Lorne Pier.
Sunday, September 26, 2004, 8:05 PM

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - Lorne pier, like most other piers, has a whole night life of its own and it's always an experience to go for a wander after dark. Unlike a lot of piers, however, Lorne pier has this dirty great big boat and crane mechanism smack bang in the middle and everyone has to squeeze through to get down to the end of the pier. Love the rich, deep red of the boat…

Departure - Tullamarine Airport.
Saturday, September 11, 2004, 10:35 PM

Dear Diary - Using Polaroid 600/Ambient lighting…no flash - I just love that "airport" feeling…heading off for a flight, the excitement, the anticipation…I experience it here - all the lines and movement of this shot enticing me to make my way over the walkway towards the departure lounge.

Dinner Plain.
Saturday, July 31, 2004, 2:48 PM

Dear Diary - Peculiar…What's a chain doing hanging from a tree in the middle of the snow in the middle of a field? Love the juxtaposition of natural fauna vs manufactured utilitarian…

Dry Bone Lane - Dinner Plain.
Saturday, July 31, 2004, 12:25 PM

Dear Diary - Nothing much to this one except I was simply blown away by how intense and rich colours seemed to be…probably the nature of the environment being pretty much a 'black and white' world - anything with colour seemed to be totally saturated…
