Fish - Canning Reserve.
Saturday, April

AM
Dear Diary - what's a Seychelles blenny to do once the Commonwealth Games are over...?
This is truly a fish out of water...looking toward the cloud mottled sky the Saychelle's blenny appears to be a fish that has taken to the world above the water...it looks to be healthy, with shining eyes, and smiling mouth...a lustrous sheen adorns its skin...
Some cars speed by, following the route laid out by the asphalt and guttering, lane markings and double lines of the roadway...the fish continues to look skyward...overhead a plane makes its way along its own unseen roadway - lines marked out by invisible beacons and blips on a radar screen...other masters of the air pitch their voices to the surrounding scene - theirs is a freedom of flight that knows no such restrictions...
Listen to a sound bite from this location...

You could travel for miles to some remote, lush bush setting to experience the smells and bush aromas that are present here...gum trees, their stringing bark and carpet of leaves giving rise to the redolence of the bush...
I touch the grass beneath the feet of my tripod...it is cold and moist...covered in a dew that hints at the frost yet to come with the colder weather...
I taste the dampness of the grass - it is the flavour of mineral water mixed with a touch of "grassiness"...
